The story is a mirror for examining who we are as political beings, and who we put our faith and trust in. The Right clashes with the Left, but as certain characters grow and evolve while others devolve into narcissistic madness, eventually both sides of the aisle get their acts together and start living up to the American potential.

It is the 22nd century and our political landscape has dramatically changed.
China has arisen as the dominant world power. The former United States of America has become as broken and divided more so than their politics divided them in the 21st century. With the Chinese premier determined to keep his chokehold on power and snuff out remnants of resistance, people across the globe work in the dark to disrupt China's efforts to silence and ultimately destroy them. But this is easier said than done. Socialism has swept all corners of the globe, and China's military might have no limit. In a world where trust has become a forgone conclusion, can the freedom fighters be victorious over their new masters, or will they succumb to a dark future.
This story, although takes place in the future, touches base with issues going on around us today. With our political differences having reached a crescendo as far back as 2016, I cannot help but wonder if the world described by the author in this book is a look at things which may come to pass. The author's vision is remarkable as are characters working to outsmart one another, fighting to survive, fighting for a future. His political and military research have left me feeling that what I was reading is a highly plausible possibility. This was a more enjoyable book for me because the genre is not my typical read, and I found it both engrossing and mesmerizing. The story seemed so real that when I finished, I was glad it was only a book, and not something that had in fact taken place.
I highly recommend this enjoyable book.

As a disabled attorney-mediator from family-military and faith-based backgrounds, I found this a great read for insight into the world's rapidly unfolding real-life drama. A well-written, researched, balanced and compelling analysis! You will feel better for having read this very entertaining novel in the genre of Joel Rosenberg, or T. Davis Bunn. Written through the eyes of a very perceptive soul. Can't wait for the sequel...
